Portraits

If you’re drawn to my portrait painting style consider commissioning me to create a painting of you, a loved one, or a friend.

Here is how we proceed:
(A) I need to get to know you a little – who you are… what you do… what you like… your style… your character…
This may help in personalizing your portrait painting. We could do this over a cup of coffee or in any way convenient to you.

(B) Next I’ll ask you to provide me with a number of photos you and others like of you – out of which I’ll choose the one most suitable and workable reference for your painting.

(C) If you don’t have a photograph, or if the photos you’ve provided do not meet the quality and artistic criteria I hold, I will then use my camera to take a number of photographs of you, or of the person to be painted. Upon your approval of several photos for me to choose from, we shake hands, co-sign a basic contract letter, you provide 50% of the commission fee, and I get started. The 50% balance will be payable upon the completion of your painting.

Timeline:
As most of my time is committed to my psychotherapy practice, at this time I can only devote two days a week to creating art. Depending on the quality of my reference photo and the size of the painting, it may take between two and three months for your painting to be completed.
